Will tomorrow’s laptop deals at Amazon beat others?

Amazon Prime Day

Amazon’s second Prime Day (usually held in October) tends to be a more muted affair than the big summer event. There will certainly be a number of cheap laptop deals to check out though, and the retailer is likely to be competitive with deals on MacBooks in particular.

With that said, as someone who follows laptop deals all year round, I usually recommend rival retailers like Best Buy, Dell, and Currys as the first port of call for deals on Windows machines. In recent years, I find the quality of deals from these retailers to be a notch above Amazon, which has really shifted towards being a marketplace. Fingers crossed we’ll see some great laptop prices from Amazon tomorrow though.

Three excellent deals at Best Buy have been added

Best Buy’s TechTober sale is the perfect foil to Amazon Prime Day, and honestly? So far, this retailer’s laptop deals are much, much better than Amazon’s. That could change tomorrow when Prime Day officially starts, but right now, Best Buy is the winner for decent value laptop deals. See a few more highlights in the ‘US laptop deals’ section above.

… And, today’s best MacBook deal in the UK

Another quick addition. I’ve just listed the MacBook Air M4 at Amazon for £849, which is a record-low price for the laptop that we rate as the ‘best for most people’ here at TechRadar. It’s a price that we’ve seen before on occasion, but it is a stellar price for such an excellent machine.

Added – today’s best deals at Dell UK

I’ve just added a trio of laptops from the official Dell Store’s sale over in the UK. Unsurprisingly, some of the best value Windows 11 machines today are found at this retailer, with decent price cuts ranging from just £350 to £1,099. Check out my additions just above!

Added – a few more choices for the UK

Our UK section is a little sparse right now so I’m adding a few more choices – specifically a few excellent higher-end choices at both Currys and Amazon!

Welcome folks. I’ll be posting live updates throughout the day as I dig-up more laptop deals at the various retailers.

Right now, a lot of people are looking to upgrade because Microsoft has just announced that it will no longer be supporting Windows 10 with security updates soon. If you’re in that boat, don’t worry, you have some time – and plenty of excellent deals to consider this week.
