LA residents wake up to inferno skies and charred homes

Residents in Los Angeles on Wednesday woke up to the aftermath of various fires that continue to burn throughout the city. At least two people have been killed, and dozens more injured.

Video shows one resident watching as her home burned comparing her neighbourhood to driving through a “war zone”.

LA Fire Chief Kristin Crowley says the four ongoing fires – Palisades, Eaton, Hurst and Woodley – are 0% contained and “stretching” responders to their limits. The Palisades fire, which broke out on Tuesday morning, has burnt more than 1,000 structures, officials say.
