Girl trapped in Venezuela quake ‘survived on ketchup and cheese’

Amid the despair created by the twin earthquakes in Venezuela, there are also incredible stories of survival.

In La Guaira, in northern Venezuela, BBC international correspondent Yogita Limaye met a 12-year-old girl who was pulled out from under the rubble on Friday, after more than thirty hours.

Apart from a fracture in her left foot and a few scrapes and bruises, Fabiana suffered no other injuries.

As of Sunday, 3,342 people were confirmed to have died in the quakes, with tens of thousands still missing.
