BBC reporter surrounded by LA fire destruction

At least two people have been killed, and dozens more injured as a result of various wildfires around Los Angeles. Thousands have been evacuated as firefighters work to contain the blazes, which has been made difficult by strong winds in the region.

The BBC’s Emma Vardy assesses the damage along Pacific Coast Highway, a major route that runs north to south along the California coast line.
