EastEnders at 40: Queen Vic landlady on ‘exciting’ live episode

BBC soap EastEnders marks its 40th anniversary this week and at its centre is a special live episode.

One of the characters central to the anniversary is Queen Victoria landlady, Elaine, played by Harriet Thorpe.

She’s one of a select few British actresses to run the Queen Vic pub, joining the likes of Barbara Windsor, Letitia Dean, Linda Henry and Pam St Clement.

BBC London’s Alice Bhandhukravi has visited Walford to speak to the “Queen of the Vic” ahead of Thursday’s landmark episode.
