Doechii pulls out of All Points East and two other festivals

US rapper and singer Doechii has pulled out of All Points East festival in east London and two other music festivals.

The 27-year-old Florida-born artist is “no longer able to perform” at the Victoria Park festival on Saturday, All Points East said in a social media post.

“We’d like to apologise to any disappointed fans and hope to welcome Doechii to All Points East in the future,” the post said.

Doechii has also pulled out of Forwards Bristol festival on Sunday, with the organisers writing on social media: “We are very sad to announce that Doechii will not be performing at her upcoming shows.”

The Grammy Award-winning artist has also cancelled her performance on Thursday at Rock en Seine in Paris.

Doechii, whose real name is Jaylah Hickmon, has not yet given a reason for her absence at the events.

A replacement for the star has not yet been announced by either of the UK festivals.

Ticketholders have not been told whether they will be able to get a refund for the events following the cancellation.

Doechii’s North American tour begins next month, with a further set of US dates announced for October earlier this month.

The rapper first became known for her track Yucky Blucky Fruitcake, when it went viral following its release in 2020.

Doechii achieved worldwide fame in 2024 with the release of mixtape Alligator Bites Never Heal, which includes the songs Denial Is A River, Catfish and Nissan Altima.

Months later, the record gave the rapper her first Grammy Award for best rap album, with nominations for best rap performance and best new albums at the 67th award ceremony.

Doechii’s representatives have been contacted for comment.
